Holding an escrow

Are other trucking companies holding back an escrow from company drivers? If so, how much?

And has it had a positive impact on drivers spontaneously quitting for no good reason?

We have drivers quitting and when we ask them why they are quitting, they seem to just make stuff up on the spot. We're thinking that holding an escrow would make the drivers think twice about quitting without any notice since we'd have something of theirs to keep if they didn't follow the rules they agreed to when they came to work with us.

Any ideas from other companies? Or drivers? Would you work for a company that holds an escrow of $500 or $1000 (built up over time)
