| Now I know this has nothing to do with trucking jobs, but it has bugged me ever since I heard those terms, so I thought I would get it off my mind today. If you look up the words "racism" and "discrimination" neither definition says anything about which race the person doing the discrimination or being the racist must be. So the term "reverse racism" and "reverse discrimination" don't make any sense. Is it because some people think that it is mostly the white race who is racist or who discriminates? I think that is the basis for these made up terms, and it will be my practice in the future to refer to any robbery or murder by a person of the white race against a person of the black or hispanic race as a "reverse homicide" or "reverse robbery". At least there are statistics showing just how "reverse" that type of crime is. |
